By signing up to SLT AI you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the SLT AI website (the “Service”) operated by SLT AI (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
Overview
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access the Service.
Data Processing Agreement
By using the Service, you and your school/organisation agree to be bound by our Data Processing Agreement, which can be found here. The Data Processing Agreement forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions and governs how we process personal data on behalf of your school/organisation as data controller. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Data Processing Agreement, the Data Processing Agreement shall take precedence in relation to data processing matters.
For the purposes of data protection law, your school/organisation is the data controller and SLT AI is the data processor when personal data is processed through the Service. Both parties agree to comply with all applicable data protection legislation.
Subscription and Renewal
By subscribing to the Service, you agree to pay the fee as stated on our website. This fee grants you access to the Service for one full calendar month or year depending on the subscription purchased. Your subscription to SLT AI will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you manually cancel your subscription, or have this set to manual renewal. Your payment method will be charged the subscription fee stated at the time of your initial enrolment, plus applicable taxes, on the renewal date.
Before your subscription renews, we will send you a reminder email notifying you of the upcoming renewal. This email will be sent to the email address associated with your SLT AI account a reasonable period before your renewal date to give you the opportunity to review and modify your subscription if necessary.
Refunds
Refunds will only be issued within 14 days of purchase if none of the paid for tools have been used.
Pay by Invoice
By selecting the ‘Pay by Invoice’ payment method, you represent and warrant that you have full authority to bind your school or organisation to these Terms and to place orders on its behalf.
The school or organisation shall be legally responsible for all orders placed, regardless of whether internal approval procedures have been followed.
We are entitled to rely on your confirmation of authority without further verification. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any loss, cost, or claim arising from a breach of this warranty of authority.
Payment Terms: Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. This is a strict term and time is of the essence.
Late Payment: In the event of late payment:
- We reserve the right to suspend any subscriptions immediately upon payment becoming overdue
- Interest will accrue on overdue amounts at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (currently 8% above the Bank of England base rate)
- We are entitled to claim fixed compensation for debt recovery under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013:
- £40 for debts under £1,000
- £70 for debts between £1,000 and £9,999.99
- £100 for debts of £10,000 or more
- We reserve the right to claim reasonable costs of recovering the debt that exceed the fixed compensation amounts
- We may pursue legal action to recover outstanding amounts, and you will be liable for all associated legal costs and court fees
Debt Recovery
Pre-Action Protocol: Prior to commencing legal proceedings for unpaid invoices, we will comply with the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Conduct and Protocols by sending a Letter Before Action. This will provide 14 days’ notice of our intention to commence proceedings.
Jurisdiction: These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
Costs: In the event that legal proceedings become necessary, you agree to pay all costs associated with debt recovery, including but not limited to:
- Court fees
- Legal costs on an indemnity basis
- Enforcement costs
- Tracing agent fees (if required)
Credit Reference: We reserve the right to report unpaid debts to credit reference agencies and to share information about payment performance with other organisations for credit assessment purposes.
Cancellation
To stop your subscription from automatically renewing, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your SLT AI account, navigating to My Account and then the My Subscription section, and following the instructions to cancel. Please note that if you do not cancel your subscription before the renewal date, we will charge your payment method for the next subscription period, and we do not provide refunds for the subscription fees already paid.
Changes to Subscription Fee
We reserve the right to change the subscription fee and will notify you in advance of any changes. It is your responsibility to review the notification and decide if you want to continue with the updated fee or cancel your subscription.
Payment Method
It is your responsibility to maintain a valid payment method during the term of your subscription. If we are unable to process payment using the payment method on file, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription.
Usage
We have not put a restriction on the number of times individual users use the service, however this is based on users adopting ‘fair use’ behaviour. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any account which uses the tools in a manner we consider to be excessive.
Accounts
When you create an account, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to act on behalf of your school or organisation (the “Organisation”). These Terms create a binding contract between SLT AI and the Organisation. Where these Terms refer to “you” or “your”, this means both the individual user and the Organisation jointly and severally, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account. Sharing account credentials is strictly prohibited. Accounts found to be in violation of this rule will be subject to immediate suspension or termination.
AI Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information through the use of AI language models, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information generated by the SLT AI. You acknowledge that the AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and you agree to use the Service at your own risk. We are not responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on the AI-generated content, and we disclaim any liability for damages or losses resulting from your reliance on the AI-generated content. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SLT AI. The Service is protected by copyright and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
We reserve the right to modify our payment terms with 30 days’ notice for existing customers. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

All notices relating to payment or legal matters must be sent to SLT AI via info@sltai.co.uk. Notices to schools will be sent to the email address provided at registration and/or the school’s registered address.
